Hovercrafts don’t disturb marine life or sea bottoms because they move above the water’s surface on a pocket of air. There is no erosion to beaches or riverbanks because the propellers do not churn up the water which could damage reefs, and there's no noise underwater disturbing marine life. Flora, fauna and fish spawn are protected due to the lack of underwater turbulence or stern gear, and the hovercraft produces a downward pressure on sand that is a fraction of a man’s footprint.
